Thanks for sharing part of your childhood and love of nature and weather. I knew someone once that I worked with who grew up like you with bay on one side and ocean on the other. She said the storms were so scary and she never wanted to live near water again and hasn't. I think the majesty of the sea just brought her fear, not the same admiration as you. But storms teach us to respect water and the power of nature. So glad you survived!
