Once there was a woman

who lost a silver key

she never knew who took it

or if she placed it in the tree

the tree that kept her secrets

and never were they found

but the key was not among them

as she searched all around

never did she find it

thinking where the key could be

she heard footsteps running

as she hid behind the tree

she reached into her pocket

where jewels and money lay

remembering the key at the bottom

of the yellow cookie tray

she ran and ate the cookies

the key now shining bright

she swallowed the silver key

and put out its light

her secret still a secret

she stared upon the door

the tree standing tall

was not standing any more
